Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze is a mattress with emphasis on pillowy softness and adaptive support. Forget the pillowtop. It helps you feel cooler for a great night’s rest and the material in the support layer adapts fast to your body’s weight and shape.

What is the Construction?

Cooling Cover

The cover is a performance fabric that’s lightweight, breathable and infused with innovative cooling technology to help achieve a cooler sleeping surface. The cover is made from a blend of polyester and spandex, which provides for a soft and breathable feel. This material is also quite stretchy and snaps into place swiftly, so you won’t experience any bunching as you move around at night.

Comfort Layer

This layer’s material is Extra-soft TEMPUR-ES infused with PureCoolTM methodology which offers cool comfort and determines the mattress feel. It also includes TEMPUR-AdaptTM mechanism which draws excess heat away from the body. The inbuilt 2’’ of memory foam provides instant relief to the sleeper and reacts slowly to pressure, producing some deep body contouring as soon as you lie on the mattress.

Transition Layer

This layer is positioned directly below the comfort layer, where you find a further 2’’ of memory foam.  The transition layer is similar to the comfort layer, but its touch is firmer, working as a shift between the soft foam up top to the dense base below. It also spreads the body contouring of the comfort section throughout the rest of the mattress.

Ultra-breathable Support Layer

The support layer is formulated with TEMPUR material, which is ultra-breathable TEMPUR-Climate layer providing support, distributes body weight and directs excess heat away from the mattress body. The support layer is made of 4’’ of polyurethane foam, which is quick to respond to pressure and helps in transition when sleeping from the memory foam into the denser sections of the mattress. This layer is also depended upon for greater support and structure.

Bottom Layer

The bottom layer supports the TEMPUR material above it, and also its structure helps distribute heat from the mattress. This is the foundation layer made of 3.5’’ of polyurethane foam, giving the be its shape and also provides the Cloud Supreme with solid compression.

How Is the Support and Comfort?

The Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze Mattress is a medium soft mattress and the second firmest in the Cloud line of mattresses. Its medium softness, support is most ideal for individuals who sleep in multiple positions. It provides good pressure relief for sleeping on your side and is also firm enough for individuals who occasionally sleep on their back or stomach.

Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze Mattress focus is on the comfort and slow, sinking contouring of memory foam for a personalized rest every night. It provides a good night’s rest free of aches and pains. The focus of the design is for a cooling comfort brought about by a cooler sleeping surface.

Applying a light hand pressure on the mattress top, you immediately engage with the gentle top layers of memory foam. Your hand sinks pleasantly into the material, and you feel the sense that these sections would provide fantastic pressure relief. Pressing further you come across the firmer support layers, they don’t produce much of a lift.

People of various body types and shapes will feel firmness differently. Overall, the firmness of Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme mattress rating is 5.4 when compared to the industry standard of 6.5 for medium firmness. This clearly shows the mattress is a soft bed. Does This Mattress Sleep Cool?

Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze mattress is created with an extra cooling system, which helps transfer heat away from the body and disperse it via the foam layers. The result is a cooler sleeping surface and a cooling comfort you can feel.

Sleeping warm on a Tempurpedic Cloud mattress should not be an issue. The design is meant to respond to a person’s body temperature, which activates its ability to conform to your body, providing support and reducing pressure points. With the improved support and reduced pressure points on your body, sleeping on the mattress helps improve circulation, and you may find you need fewer covers.

we didn’t experience any heat during our testing of this mattress, even though Tempurpedic’s main complaint was that its beds sleep hot. It’s really good to see Tempurpedic is innovating to fix this issue with its mattresses.

How Is the Edge Support?

Sharing a bed with a partner and need to use the whole surface area of the mattress, you might want to consider the amount of edge support it’ll provide.

Lying on the back near the edge of the bed, you feel fairly well supported. You can see a deep compression, but you will feel secure at the edge never feeling like falling out of bed.

Turning on your side, the top foam layers engage to contour and hug the body. You continue to feel secure in this position, but you can experience a heavier compression than you did on your back.

Sitting on the mattress, like for example in the morning when you’re lacing up your shoes and getting ready for the day, though a lot of foam mattresses experience severe compression, you won’t feel stuck here.

The main reason why we didn’t feel that the edge on this mattress was bad is because Tempurpedic mattress are not bed in a box and so they are made with a good side support.

Is There Motion Transfer?

When sharing a bed with a partner, you are concerned about what it will feel like when the other person moves at night and he or she gets up to start the day in the morning.

The Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme does an awesome job of containing motion. The construction is all-foam which doesn’t only dissipate interference across the surface, but works to dampen motion throughout the structure as a whole. Therefore, this mattress is recommended for couples, especially those partners who sleep in different positions.

The surrounding soft, enveloping feel gives your body a weightless effect feel while you sleep. Side sleepers will be the most comfortable out of this particular softness level and pinpoint the lack of pressure points through the hips and shoulders.

If there is one thing Tempurpedic does excellent, it’s their mattresses ability to reduce motion transferred between partners. The wine glass test is not a myth as we did it ourselves and were surprised how little the glass moved when you jump on the mattress.

– Our team gives the Cloud Supreme Breeze 9.8 out of 10 in Motion Transfer.

How Firm Is It?

This mattress belongs into the medium-soft range of series. It is layered according to softness levels of foam. The Cloud Supreme Breeze mattress claims two layers of different TEMPUR materials and includes an extra layer of PureCool technology for added cooling comfort.

The result is three thin layers of foam and a thicker, seven-inch poly foam base to support the top layers. The comfort layer is a TEMPER-ES foam used for the initial surfaces as this mattress is a soft to medium one. It weighs in with a 4.1 lbs/Cu ft density.

Good Pressure Relief

Given its medium softness, this mattress is most ideal for individuals who sleep in various positions. It has good pressure relief for side sleeping, but it should be firm enough for most people who occasionally sleep on their back or stomach.

Cooling Feature

As mentioned, TEMPUR material responds to a person’s body weight and heat. It contours the body, automatically adjusting to a person’s every curve. When not in contact with the person’s body, the material returns to its usual shape. It’s designed to do this that it feels like new every time you lay on it.

Therefore, when you first lay on it, it can feel slightly firmer. After you have been on the mattress a while, the material responds and starts to feel more conforming and responsive.

Give It Sometime

The material also responds to room temperature, so if your room is very cold, the mattress can feel less responsive and slightly firmer. If your room is hot, the mattress can feel more responsive and softer. No matter how firm or soft the mattress feels, it still provides the support that your body needs to fully relax during sleep.

Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme may require some time getting used to. As you sleep on the mattress, it will respond to your body weight, conforming to your body, and feeling bouncier. This period can last for a couple of weeks. During this time, the TEMPUR cells are fully opened, so they can optimally adjust to temperature changes and weight.

After its completely broken it, the mattress retain the responsiveness it has straight from the factory, so it feels like new every day. The TEMPUR cells provide their conforming support throughout their life.

– On a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the firmest, our team gave the Cloud Supreme Breeze a 4.5 firmness rating (medium-soft).

Is It Good for Back and Stomach Sleepers?

Back sleepers will feel some fantastic pressure easing in this position. The memory foam top layers do an excellent job of filling in the space in your lower back and the countering helps to cushion your spine. Considering there is a ton of memory foam in this mattress, it can be pretty a challenge changing position, so there could be moments when you feel stuck in the bed.

Stomach sleepers can feel some pressure on their stomach. The soft foam can cause hips to lift up and out of bed, which goes to send the back into an uncomfortable alignment. Though this won’t occur to all stomach sleepers, depending on their weight and size, it is something to watch out for.
