Investing in a quality mattress protector is essential, and it seems like I’ve hit the jackpot with the Sweet Zzz Tencel Natural Mattress Protector. It’s soft, cool, protective, noise-free, and comes with a fantastic price tag. Here’s my take on four significant aspects of this product:
Is it Really 100% Waterproof?
From personal experience, I can vouch that this protector is indeed 100% waterproof. I put it through several tests, and each time, my mattress emerged in perfect, dry condition. It’s reassuring to know that my mattress is well-protected against any accidental spills or moisture.
Does it Sleep Cool or Hot?
I’m a side sleeper, and I’ve never once felt warm with this protector. It’s made from 100% eucalyptus-based Tencel fiber, and I found it sleeps noticeably cooler. This material is also used in a lot of athletic clothing, and I can see why – it keeps the bed cool and dry, making for an excellent sleeping experience.
Does it Fit well? Or is it too loose?
Fit is essential, and the Sweet Zzz Protector doesn’t disappoint. It fits snugly around my mattress, ensuring it stays in place and doesn’t slide or slip off, which is a massive plus in my book.
Is it Quiet? Or is it noisy?
I’ve had protectors in the past that were noisy due to plastic vinyl materials, but this one is different. The barrier is made of laminate, and I didn’t notice any noise at all. It’s a welcome change and adds significantly to my overall comfort during sleep.
Final Thoughts:
I feel like I’ve gotten great value for my money with the Sweet Zzz Tencel Natural Mattress Protector. It’s natural, durable, cooling, and the price tag is generous. Plus, it comes with a 50-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty, which is reassuring. It’s also certified safe for babies and those with sensitive skin, adding another layer of assurance. I genuinely believe this protector is a worthwhile investment for preserving my mattress.
2- Plushbeds Mattress Protector
Ranked
Bottomline:
If budget is no issue for you, then this mattress protector should be on your radar. This is another great sustainable way to protect your mattress and stay comfortable. It has a lovely natural cotton and wool fill and cover and a laminate protector. However, it does change the feel of the mattress by making it slightly softer.
Performance:
During our tests, we found this protector to be doing a beautiful job at protecting the mattress and keeping both fresh and dry. However, because it is slightly padded, it can sometimes feel humid and requires more regular washing than a Tencel protector.
Though there was very little noise from this protector, none of the testers said it gets in the way of having a good night’s sleep. Overall the performance of this protector was very good.
What is it made of:
The Plushbeds protector cover is made from natural cotton and wool and is certified safe. The cover feels very luxurious and does add a little padding to the mattress. You shouldn’t depend on this if you think it would drastically change the feel of your bed, but rather think of it as a nice little padding for a luxury feel.
The barrier is made of laminate which is the safest way of doing a protector’s barrier.
Value & Services:
If there is one negative we could give this protector, it would have to be the price. Though it offers an amazing number of features, the price tag is a little high when compared to other models.
This protector comes with a 10-year warranty.
3- Naturepedic Mattress Protector
Ranked
Bottomline:
If you want to protect your mattress and do so sustainably, you should consider this protector. Though it is more on the pricy side, it offers a completely eco-friendly way of protecting your mattress. The best part, it does its job beautifully.
Performance:
Protection-wise, this one is very good as it allows nothing to get to the mattress. However, it did feel a little warm at times and came to make a little bit of noticeable noise.
Though not as cool as Tencel, this cotton protector feels very luxurious.
Value & Services:
For the all-sustainable protection that this mattress protector offers, we feel that it has fair value. Do note, however, that Mattress protector comes with a 30-day return policy only so make sure to decide on wether or not your going to keep in in the first couple of weeks.

A lot of research and development went into this mattress protector, and the way its design is certainly worthy of mention. Using a high end temperature-regulation technology to cool the bed while actively shielding the mattress from dirt, spills, and daily use.

Ranked
This Organic mattress protector is made of 100% natural wool and eco-friendly materials. filled with 100% washable wool, and offers great breathability resulting in maintained core body temperatures without overheating. We never noticed that it was causing any heating or heat-trapping issues.
